It has been awhile since I posted, but I have been busy with life. I wanted to write a note in my journal to let you know of a new product that I just received in the mail.
I was researching the world of stylus's that are compatible with the iPad and iPhones for use in drawing, doodling, sketching, inking...and what I found, is AMAZING! The JOT by Adonit.net is an amazing stylus and they have one for every application. The Jot has four (4) different types, the Touch $89.99, Pro $29.99, Flip $34.99 and Mini $21.99. I got all of them. I will always have a need to use them so I figured I'd give them all a try. I have only used the Touch and the Flip but I have to say that these are amazing tools for digital artists that utilize programs on the go! These consist of a pen type stylus and the Precision Disc is what makes the difference. You can actually see through the disc to see where you are drawing. Unlike the stylus's that utilize the big black rubber bubble at the end or the blob that you get when finger-painting.
Why would you spend that type of money for a stylus? I'm glad you asked!
The Touch is fully electronic and rechargeable. You hook it to your USB to charge the pen, and you are good for 12 hours of drawing. It is BlueTooth and connects to your device to use the buttons on the pen to assist in using commands to create your drawing. I use it with ProCreate and Autodesk Sketchbook (App Store). It works like a dream and I am so glad I found this company and their outstanding product. It comes with the pen, the charger stand, a cap to keep the disc safe when traveling or not in use, and an extra Precision Disc.
The Flip is a very cool stylus as well! One end is the Precision Disc, then you twist the barrel and the other end actually becomes a writing pen. With ink cartridges that are refillable.
I have not tried the Pro or the Mini, but the mini is perfect for your smaller devices such as iPhones, Blackberries...etc.
